Phylogeny: A manageable data set of 18 species and 4 DNA marker, 2 mitochondrial marker (12S, 16S,) and 2 nuclear marker (H3, 28S), is used to reconstruct the phylogeny of European Pectinidae. Faunal Provinces: Comparison of European pectinid fossils and the associated species, collection of geographical, climatic and paleontological data. Temporal coverage: Miocene to present
