<title>Benthic epifauna sampled with a 2m beam trawl</title>
<para>Epifauna was sampled with a 2m beam trawl. The beam trawl was fitted with a net of 20 mm mesh and a codend of 4 mm mesh. A SCANMAR depth sonar was attached to its top to determine the exact time and position of contact with the seabed. From the moment of contact with the seabed, the beam was towed at a speed of 1.5 to knots for 5 min. Samples were sieved over a 5 and 2 mm mesh. For details see attached references </para>
