Seed-dispersal interactions and seed rain data, Canandé – Ecuador, 2022-2023.

Data collected in Chocó lowland, Northern Ecuador. The data consists of data sets with 1) plant species observed bearing fruits during fieldwork and their respective traits; 2) animal species observed via direct observations with binoculars interacting with the fruiting trees; 3) traits of the animals observed via binoculars; 4) seed-dispersal interactions observed via binoculars; 5) animal species observed via camera traps interacting with fruits; 6) traits of the animals observed via camera traps; 7) seed-dispersal interactions observed via camera traps; 8) environmental variables collected in the plots; and 9) seed rain data collected via seed-traps.

Geographic description The data was collected in the Chocó lowland forest in the North-West of Ecuador. It is a lowland rainforest (elevation 100 – 600 m a.s.l.) with a mean annual temperature of circa 24°C and annual precipitation of 2100 mm with weak seasonality.
