Fog-harvesting plant oasis in Namibia - WP soil microfauna 2022

In a Senckenberg seed-funding project, a 3-weeks campaign (1.-21.September 2022) at the Gobabeb Station provided 84 sand samples from Station Dune fog harvesting plants Stipagrostis sabulicola. Microfauna was extracted in the field and abiotic soil parameters (moisture, pH, C, N, S, P, particle size distribution) are presently studied in the SMNG labs. The study was performed in very close cooperation with the University Tübingen, Senckenberg Centre for Human Evolution and Palaeoenviornment and the Gobabeb-Namib Research Institute in Namibia
