Little Owl Frankfurt

The little owl nestbox population in Frankfurt has been monitored from 2007 to 2025. This monitoring data is from Ingo Rösler. The dataset consists of the number of occupied nestboxes each year, the number of nestlings at the time of ringing, and the locations of the nestboxes.

During the 2025 breeding season fieldwork was conducted. Cameras were hung in front of nestboxes to observe what the young are being fed (20 sec videos) and the height of the vegetation surrounding the nestboxes was measured.
