Successional vegetation permanent plot database (1969-2011, Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany)

Since 1968 the experimental study site on old-field succession in the Experimental Botanical Garden of the University of Göttingen (Lower Saxony, Germany) offers continuous data on vegetation development on permanent plots. The 23 plots (125-200 m*m) cover a range of undisturbed sites since the beginning of the experiment or since 1983 differing in there initial treatment, to plots underlying a certain yearly treatment like different mowing intensities (with and without fertilizer treatment) or ploughing. Beside continuous species list and species coverage, soil chemical properties, harvested biomass analysis and seed bank analysis data are available.
